Meet steve
at a glance:I will offer you a space where I will treat you as a person and not as a problem. I will take your story, your struggle, your strengths, and your challenges seriously. I embody a style of therapy that is collaborative and conversational, strength based, and above all always client focused. It would be an honor to work with you.

I love working with and helping the following:
- Individuals and/or couples who feel disconnected, stuck, and/or exhausted and want more connection and intimacy.
- Individuals who are struggling with self-worth, particularly when it comes to feelings of shame, loneliness and believing that you are ‘never enough.’
- Couples who are stuck in unhealthy patterns of communication and need help in learning how to respond rather than react
- Men who are struggling with anxiety and want help in learning how to skillfully manage it.
- Individuals who are experiencing grief from the loss of a loved one, a pet, a job or struggling to adapt to any life transition
- Teenagers and children who are struggling with a sense of belonging and acceptance
A closer Look:
“Be Kind because everyone you meet is fighting a battle that you know nothing about.”
I love this quote and I have found it to be very true. People come to therapy for a whole host of reasons, but most come wanting to be understood and not judged. If we get to encounter each other in therapy, I will do my best to understand you, and I will not judge you. I have had the privilege of working with clients in multiple settings ( a transitional shelter, a church, a medical center, a counseling center on a University campus, as well as home based work) and I have learned that people, from all walks of life, cherish a context where there is safety, compassion, empathy, and challenge.
Most people come to therapy because life, as the way it is currently being lived, is just not working for them anymore and they know that things have to change. If you are struggling with any of the following: transitions in life, anxiety, grief, self-doubt, anger or relationship problems, I want you to know there is hope. Hope for something different, hope for something better, and hope for healing, wholeness and liberation.
