Depression Therapy

Welcome to

Challenge the lies that your brain is telling you, find freedom from the weight of carrying the world on your shoulders, and rediscover the parts of you that currently feel out of reach with therapy for depression.

When you feel misunderstood and as though you don’t have control over how others perceive you, life feels heavy. It can be really distressing to feel like nothing can help, especially after trying so many things. You may even feel paralyzed as those who are close to you push you to do more than you feel you can.

Hi my name is Thomas Largent, LMCHA and I am passionate about working with people who are struggling with depression. Let me be clear, I believe you, I respect how hard this is for you, and I have a spot saved specifically for you. I know how vulnerable it can feel to trust a therapist and to try to have hope that things can truly get better this time. I have helped numerous people with similar stories and I’m here for you.

Support Is Here

When you’re experiencing depression, it’s common to feel like you have made choices that you regret and can’t quite work through. When you’re feeling this way about your past, it’s hard to find motivation to do much of anything that might create a better future. Adding to these challenges, you may even feel as though you are a burden on your loved ones and close friends, which can be especially painful. If any of this sounds like something you can relate to, therapy could be right for you and I would love to be your therapist.

In my work with you, my goal is to validate your experiences and be a place where you feel you can share without judgement. I will walk side by side with you as we navigate feelings of shame and guilt over the past, and move towards a space of forgiveness and reconciliation for yourself. I tailor each session to the unique needs of every client that walks through my door (both virtual and in person). That means the good, the bad, the ugly, and everything in between is fair game in our time together.

I believe that if you have the right tools and support you can do anything, including navigating depression. Some of these tools include:

  • Identifying values and affirmations to steer self talk

  • Switching thoughts from less helpful to more helpful

  • Finding pathways for action steps to complete the things that are important as well as the things that will fill you up with joy

  • Identifying trustworthy people to lean on for support and accountability
