art therapy for Teens

Give your teen the tools and self-awareness they need to thrive
mentally, emotionally, and relationally.

Being a teenager can be one of the most difficult chapters of one’s life.

Adolescence is a period of transition, and often these changes are difficult to navigate alone. Therapy
provides your teen with a safe landing space to work through their challenges with a trustworthy, supportive adult.

Together, your teen and I will tackle the roadblocks that stand in the way of their well-being, such as low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, life transitions, emotional dysregulation, and identity questions.

Sometimes the depth of our feelings and experiences cannot be expressed with words alone. I use art therapy in my practice alongside talk therapy in order to provide a bridge between what is happening on the inside and what is being expressed on the outside.

Art therapy can help teens:
~ Gain new perspectives
~ Increase problem-solving skills
~ Increase emotional regulation and awareness
~ Provide a bridge between one’s inner world and outer communication
~ Increase personal empowerment and awareness of one’s needs

No previous art experience is needed in order to work with an art therapist. Stick figures, shaky lines, inexperience, insecurities, and uncertainty are all welcome! I promise to
create a no-pressure environment where your teen can simply explore, create, connect, and discover.

Whatever issues your teen is facing, I will provide individualized, personalized care that meets them in their needs and leverages their strengths.
